State Requirements

Registered agent and business compliance requirements vary by state. We operate across all states — here's an overview of key markets.

What Every State Requires

Regardless of your state, all LLCs and corporations must:

  • Appoint a registered agent with a physical address in the state of formation
  • Keep the registered agent information current with the state
  • File annual or biennial reports (fees and due dates vary)
  • Maintain a registered agent even if the business becomes inactive
